Passo Travado races take place this Friday, the main day of the Santa Cruz Fair, which promotes equestrian art in the municipality

The city of Lamego hosts another Santa Cruz Fair, which will have its biggest day this Friday (May 3). The Passo Travado horse races will be one of the main attractions of one of the most traditional events in the municipality tomorrow.
In this competition, 1500 euros in prizes are at stake, of which 300 euros go to the big winner. The second place winner will receive 200 euros and the third place winner 150 euros.
The fourth place winner will be entitled to a prize of 100 euros, while the fifth place winner will receive 90 euros. The remaining amount is distributed up to the twentieth placed.
Better known as “3 de Maio”, the Santa Cruz Fair is organized by the Chamber of Lamego to promote and value equestrian art.
The event runs until Sunday (5th) in the new Lamego Urban Park, which will also open tomorrow.
The program also includes other activities such as the Annual Fair and Musical Night of the Santa Cruz Fair, also this Friday, and the obstacle jumping contest and parades and carriage rides through the city center on Sunday.
