The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) placed the districts of Braga and Viana do Castelo under yellow warning between 00:00 and 15:00 on Saturday, due to the forecast of rain that could be heavy.
For this Friday, the IPMA predicts periods of rain, most likely in the North region, and which will be persistent in Minho and a small rise in temperature.
On Saturday, forecasts point to generally very cloudy skies, periods of rain in Minho, where it will be persistent and at times strong, gradually extending to the remaining regions from early in the morning and a rise in temperature, more significant than the minimum.
For Sunday, the IPMA predicts very cloudy skies, gradually decreasing in cloudiness, from North to South, from the afternoon onwards.
Rain will be more frequent in the North and Center regions, and may be persistent and sometimes heavy in the North region until mid-afternoon. In the South region it will be generally weak, gradually changing to showers from the afternoon onwards.
According to forecasts, there will be temporary mist or fog until the end of the morning in some places, especially in Minho and Douro Litoral and an increase in the minimum temperature in the Center and South regions.
