Teatro Viriato, in Viseu, hosts the band Sangue Suor this Friday night (May 3). The musical project takes the stage at 9pm.
The group is made up of musicians Rui Rodrigues (At Freddy’s House, OSSO and Angela Police), Susie Filipe (Moonshiners and SIRICAIA) and Ricardo Martins (Pop Dell’Arte, Jibóia and Filho da Mãe).
The band emerged in 2021, at the invitation of Theatro Circo de Braga in celebration of its 106th anniversary. The proposal resulted in the creation of the theme “Blood & Sweat”, which would eventually give the group its name.
The formation wants to deconstruct and redefine the concept of a drummer, elevating the importance of percussion and the search for creative freedom, new sounds, fury, restlessness, fusion and experimentation.
Last year, Sangue Suor released the album “O Salto”, which includes collaborations with artists such as Surma (“Para a Frente”), Cabrita (“Revirado” and “Em Parafuso”), Selma Uamusse (“Em Equilíbrio”) and Larie (“Moon Kick”).
