Nine people suffered injuries, two of them serious, after a collision involving five vehicles on the Braga South Ring Road, early this Sunday afternoon.
According to what O MINHO found at the scene, a vehicle that was traveling in the direction of Porto-Braga had entered the road and entered the opposite lane, hitting three cars and a truck that were traveling in the opposite direction.
A young woman was extricated and transported to the hospital in serious but non-critical condition. Another young man suffered serious injuries after being thrown from the front seat into the back of the vehicle he was traveling in. The truck driver also required greater care, but because he was quite disoriented due to the accident.
On site are the Braga Sapadores Firefighters, Braga Volunteer Firefighters and three teams from INEM with support from VMER de Braga.
Car traffic is cut off in the Braga-Porto direction and very slow in the opposite direction.
The PSP is controlling traffic.
