On April 23rd, the Barcelos/Esposende Local Health Unit (ULSBE) received a visit from the President of the North Regional Coordination and Development Commission, António Cunha, and the Member of the North 2030 Regional Program Management Authority, Humberto Cerqueira, who was accompanied by the Mayor of Barcelos, Mário Constantino Lopes.
During the visit, members of the Board of Directors had the opportunity to present the Local Health Unit in detail, highlighting the production carried out in 2023 and the strategic axes of ULSBE’s business plan.
Regarding the assistance activity carried out in the previous year, it is worth highlighting the carrying out of 108,134 consultations, which compares with 101,994 in 2022, and the increase in the number of surgeries, from 6,203 in 2022 to 6,516 in 2023, representing an increase of around 5 % compared to 2022.
