“I only told my mother last week.”
It was this Monday, May 6th, that Rui Santos used his Instagram page to announce to his followers that he is fighting cancer.
“On March 13, 2023, I received the results of a biopsy and I was diagnosed with cancer. I underwent surgery three weeks after the IPO. The surgery went well and the entire area was removed,” the actor wrote in his post.
“Right now, I am being monitored, as in all cancer cases. So I’m fine. It was discovered in time and I am calm and optimistic. Thank you for the messages of concern and affection”, said Rui Santos.
“I decided to tell what happened in the first person publicly to avoid misunderstandings. I only told my mom last week because I didn’t want her to know. Now, everything is clear and here are some more good years of life, because living is wonderful”, concluded the actor.
