JSD da Guarda attacks PSD for voting against the end of tolls, councils counterattack

In a note sent to the Lusa agency, The 14 social democratic councils in the Guarda district consider that the statement released by JSD Distrital on May 2nd is “injurious, full of untruths and strong, unfounded personal attacks” is lack of respect towards the deputy elected by the Guarda circle, Dulcineia Catarina Moura.

“The content of the JSD District statement, related to the proposal presented in the Assembly of the Republic, regarding the ex-Scut, is deplorable, full of hate, with content that is not in line with the Party’s ethics and the respect that a structure must have towards those democratically elected, in this case, with the PSD deputy, who won the elections in the district of Guarda”, states the text signed by the presidents of all municipalities.

The party structure he questioned how the PSD “has the courage to come to the interior and ask for votes” and then “do what it just did”.

In the statement, JSD recalled that the PSD deputy elected by the Guarda circle “has defended one thing over the years and now, in order to shine a spotlight on her owners in Lisbon, she says that she is ready to vote against the abolition of tolls” .

The JSD accused the PSD of failing to take the opportunity it had to defend the development of the region, considering that it is not an attitude that serves the district and the region.

“It’s the attitude of someone who is just trying to help themselves and take a salary home, without doing anything, as her history clearly shows. Here is proof that this PSD deputy is a fraud”, pointed out the JSD, calling for her resignation by Dulcineia Catarina Moura.

To the PSD councils defend the deputy remembering that in the electoral program, the PSD has always proposed the progressive reduction of tolls until exemption and that was always the idea defended by the elected official during the campaign.

Council leaders remember that “all deputies on the PSD bench voted, coherently and with voting discipline, against the PS proposal of abolition of tolls, which is nothing more than a populist and contradictory proposal what he always defended, a act of regrettable political hypocrisy“.

The PSD councils consider that the JSD Distrital “had as its main objective to denigrate the integrity” of the deputyaccusing the president of the structure of “pure evil and bad political nature”.

The responsible social-democratic councils emphasize that they do not see themselves “in the stance, in the vile and insulting statement” and “they question the young activists and leaders of the JSD District if they see themselves in this ‘modus operandi’ of doing politics of your president of the JSD District”.
