Madeira is once again nominated for the Marketeer Awards as the best destination in the country, an award it received last year for the first time.
The Marketeer Awards were awarded for the first time in 2009 with the aim of rewarding the best in the area of marketing, advertising and communication in Portugal, a total of 15 categories.
In 2024, the 16th edition once again recognizes the brands, companies and personalities that make a difference in Portugal, in areas ranging from Energy, to Art, Culture and Entertainment, through Mass Consumption, Tourism, Banking and Insurance and even Lucky Games, in a total of 35 categories.
The list of nominees (more than 250 finalists) is the result of cross-examination by the editorial team and the Marketeer Editorial Board. Alongside the work developed by brands, these awards also aim to recognize the best Communication, Media and Branding and Advertising agencies.
The regional secretary of Tourism and Culture and president of the Madeira Promotion Association, Eduardo Jesus, states that “the nomination for this award is recognition of the work that has been developed by Madeira Tourism and all players in the sector, in the sense of continually improving performance, maintaining the Region’s positioning as a unique destination in the country and in the world”.
Voting is now open and will take place online until June 5th via the link: https://multipublicacoes.survey.fm/pr%C3%A9mios-marketeer-2024. The winners will be announced at a ceremony whose date and location will be announced soon.
It is worth remembering that, this year, the Region received three awards in the European edition of the World Travel Awards, namely Best Island Destination in Europe, Best Beach Destination in Europe (Porto Santo) and “Best Tourism Entity in Europe” (Madeira Promotion Association). Next November, Madeira will host two international World Travel Awards galas. This is the World Golf Awards gala, scheduled for November 22nd, and the World Travel Awards global gala, which will take place on November 24th. Both will take place at the Savoy Palace.
