The head of the list of the Socialist Party (PS) to the European Parliament, Marta Temido, visited the 40th edition of Ovibeja today, where she considered that the words of Miranda Sarmento (Minister of Finance) regarding the state of Public Finance reveal “either unpreparedness or poor faith and falsehood.” This is how Marta Temido responded to accusations of spending by the António Costa Government without budgetary appropriateness.

Speaking to journalists, the former Minister of Health also said that “the calendar [para as eleições europeias de 9 de Junho] it is short and to avoid alienating people from politics, it is more sensible to have direct contact than to close yourself off on television. Debates only with the parties present in the European Parliament are very limiting”.

During this visit to Ovibeja, which ends today, May 5th, there were also the socialist candidates for the European elections Ana Catarina Mendes, Bruno Gonçalves, Carla Tavares, Pedro do Carmo, Isilda Gomes, Miguel Lemos, Francisco Themudo, Margarida Cardoso, Sofia Pereira and Carolina Macedo Santos.

The candidates were also accompanied by Luís Capoulas Santos, former Minister of Agriculture and former Member of the European Parliament.
