A confusion between two rival groups scared customers and shopkeepers in Braga Parque, last Saturday night.
According to what O MINHO learned from a source in the shopping center’s administration, the situation, which occurred around 11:00 pm, was promptly remedied by security guards, and there were no physical confrontations.
However, the commotion created scared both customers and store owners. “I was coming from the cinema and out of nowhere a lot of people came screaming and running, running outside, and as we were inside we started running too”, says a witness, in a post shared on social media. “I couldn’t understand what happened,” she adds.
According to the administration source interviewed by O MINHO, the security guards immediately took one of the groups, less numerous, of just four people, outside, preventing the discussion from escalating into physical confrontations.
Some members of the other group, more numerous, and with some “very young” members, walked around the shopping center running and shouting, which frightened those who witnessed the scene and did not understand what was happening.
The Braga Parque administration guarantees that there was no material or personal damage.
The PSP was called, but when they arrived at the scene, nothing was happening.
