THE LOOKOUT | Pouca Pena Project takes the stage at the Cartaxo Cultural Center

-

Projecto Pouca Pena will play accompanied by the Vale da Pinta Philharmonic Band with arrangements by maestro Carlos Gonçalves. The groups expect a full house on Saturday, May 11th, at Centro Cultural do Cartaxo, at 9:30 pm. “There are so many people who write about Lisbon and Coimbra, why not write about Vila Chã de Ourique?”, said composer João Morgado Ribeiro in an interview with O MIRANTE in January this year. Tickets are free and can be collected at the Cartaxo Cultural Center ticket office.
“The Pouca Pena Project seeks to externalize the nostalgia of other times, lost memories and remembered with the very specific feelings of those who feel them. The theme is simple and honest; places, traditions, childhood experiences that have since been replaced by the hustle and bustle of modern times (..)”, describes the band composed of João Morgado Ribeiro, from Vila Chã de Ourique, João Luís Vieira and Ricardo Martins. Tickets are on sale at local parish of Vila Chã de Ourique, Pontével, União de Freguesias Cartaxo and Vale da Pinta and at the headquarters of the Cultural and Recreational Society of Vale da Pinta.
