Faro City Council, through the Tourist Promotion Division, will be present, for the first time, between May 10th and 12th, at the “Expovacaciones” International Fair, which takes place at the Bilbao Exhibition Center, in Spain.
Expovacaciones has the presence of travel agencies, hotels, activity companies dedicated to nature, gastronomy and other tourist products from different countries, enabling visitors to obtain information about the various tourist destinations.
After its presence at the B Travel fair, in Barcelona, the Faro Chamber’s participation in Expovacaciones aims to “reinforce the city’s presence as a tourist destination in the main Spanish tourism fairs”, mainly in cities with direct air connections to the Algarve capital, as is the case with Bilbao and Barcelona, where there are weekly direct flights.
In this way, Heritage – material and immaterial (history, nature, gastronomy, cultural programming and events throughout the year) – is promoted as an “added value and attractiveness factor”.
