O Cultural Action Support Program of the Central region, intended for non-professional agents, there will be a 25% increase in this year’s allocation compared to 2023, for a total of 100 thousand euros, informed the Comission of Center Regional Development Coordination (CCDRC).
The initiative, which until 2023 was promoted by the Regional Directorate of Culture, now extinct, is now carried out by the CCDRC culture unit, and aims to support non-professional agents and associations.
Last year, support was granted to 53 projects, but this year the expectation is that it will help around 75 initiatives.
Applications are open until June 7th, and the projects must be fully executed during this year, and carried out in the CCDRC territorial area.
The program is divided into four major measures: support for artistic creation and production, with maximum support of 1,500 euros per project, and programming, editing and training, with 1,000 euros per project.
Applications will be accepted in the areas of performing, visual and interdisciplinary arts.
The CCDRC will hold information sessions between May 13th and 17th in all district capitals in the Center region (Leiria, Coimbra, Aveiro, Viseu, Guarda and Castelo Branco).
