According to the Cruz Verde Fire Commander, Vitorino Cardoso, the collision occurred at “kilometer 113, in the Pópulo area, towards Bragança – Vila Real, resulting in two people being trapped and being assessed on site”.
He added that the injured “are a couple in their 70s”. The INEM helicopter was not needed and the victims were transported by firefighters to Vila Real Hospital.
Traffic is restricted in the direction of Bragança – Vila Real.
