The XXXIII International Accordion Gala passed through Quarteira this Sunday, May 5th, at the Centro Autárquico Auditorium.
Some of the best accordionists in the world took to the stage and there were many who didn’t want to miss this show.
For 33 years, Francisco Sabóia has brought to Portugal and the Algarve and Alentejo region the most important National and International artists, as well as World Champions, to the Accordeão International Gala.
In this XXXIII International Accordion Galathe biggest national event linked to this instrument, in addition to the world champions Luís Mira (Lagoa) and Jean-Baptiste Budin (France), the renowned Algarve accordionists Tino Costa and Francisco Sabóia (organizer of the Great Galas and founder and director of the Accordeão Museum, in Paderne) and also Rodrigo Maurício, from Lourinhã.
The Gala ended in apotheosis with the 5 accordionists playing among the public.
