The Municipality of Esposende, in partnership with the municipal company Esposende Ambiente, will move forward with the requalification of Rua da Redonda, in the parish of Marinhas.
The intervention corresponds to an investment of approximately 451,500 euros and has an expected execution period of six months (180 days).
The municipality explains that this artery is the “main connection route between the place of Cepães and the central nucleus of the city”, which is why this intervention is of the greatest importance, having been listed as a priority, both by the City Council and the Board of Directors. The work includes standardizing the roadway and creating sidewalks, as well as requalifying electrical, telephone and hydraulic infrastructures (water and sanitation networks).
“From a perspective of optimization, management and maintenance of hydraulic infrastructures, especially with regard to the installation of equipment to control and reduce losses in water distribution systems, it is planned to replace the water supply piping with increased caliber and installation of a Measurement and Control Zone; the deactivation of unused sections of the domestic wastewater drainage network; and the construction of a rainwater drainage network considering the planned urban rehabilitation”, advances the Chamber, adding that the low voltage and public lighting network will go from aerial to underground.
This intervention is part of the Municipal Parish Investment Plan, which focuses on “improving road conditions, requalifying public space and intervening in infrastructure and buildings”.
