Non-professional cultural agents receive 175,000 euros in a program to support cultural initiatives in 2024 – applications until May 24th

According to information provided by CCDR Algarvetakes place until May 24th the period for submitting applications to the Support Program for cultural initiatives of a non-professional naturein the areas “Creation/Production” It is “Programming/Circulation”.

All candidates can submit applications cultural agents based in the Algarve region, non-profit collective entities, of a non-professional nature, formally constituted on the date of the opening of applications and, which in the calendar year of the respective application – in this case the year 2024 – do not benefit from sustained support (biennials or quadrennials) of the Government area of ​​Culture.

For the purposes of submitting applications, four areas of support were established, regardless of the area or cultural and/or artistic expression covered: “Creation/Production”, “Programming/Circulation”, “Support for Associativism” It is “Protocols”.

Support will be annual, awarded upon application, and will take the form of a non-refundable contribution. The amount allocated to the Support Program is 175,500 eurossupported by the budget allocated to the Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve, by transfer of the Government area of ​​Culture.

It should be noted that with the integration of deconcentrated services in the area of ​​culture, the CCDR was given the responsibility of ensuring support for cultural initiatives of a non-professional nature.

In the area of ​​Culture, the Program Contract established with the Government also defines the following indicators, to be implemented in conjunction with the Municipalities, the various public administration entities and cultural agents in the region:

– Increase in the number of visitors to museums in the Algarve region: from 586,334 visitors/year to 644,967 visitors/year;

– More live shows in the region: from 1,415 shows/year to 1,557 shows/year;

– By 2029, six interventions in cultural heritage in the region with European Funds;

– Compliance with legal standards when issuing opinions and carrying out inspection and monitoring actions for archaeological work.
