The Parish of Lordosa, in the municipality of Viseu, will carry out another blood collection and bone marrow donor registration on the 2nd of June. The campaign is organized in partnership with the Portuguese Blood and Transplantation Institute.

The action takes place from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, in the Parish Hall. The appointments are already open online.

“Donating blood is a simple gesture with no contraindications, but it makes a big difference in the lives of patients who need blood components to live. In this time of solidarity, give the best gift in the world, because giving blood is giving love to others”, recalls the parish in a statement.

Donations can be made as long as the person has healthy lifestyle habits, weighs 50 kilos or more and is between 18 and 65 years old.

For a first donation, the age limit is 60 years old. Blood donations can be made every four months by women and every three months by men.
