Fernando and the stars

The Lethes Theater in Faro, will host on May 10th, Friday, at 10:30 am and 9:00 pm, the show “Fernando and the stars”, by Filipa Rodrigues, Teacher and Choreographer, performed by Incorpora students, currently in residence at the Lethes Theatre, in Faro, by ACTA – The Algarve Theater Company.

“Fernando and the Stars” tells the story of a boy who spoke to the stars and believes that Portugal’s destiny can and should be different. Thus, we enter the world of imagination and the mind of Fernando Pessoa during the process of creating his great work “Mensagem”, focusing on the exploration of the first part, entitled “Coat of Arms”.

In studying the work, in addition to the poetic and historical perspective, choreographer Filipa Rodrigues also explores the astrological side, as Fernando Pessoa was also an astrologer. By knowing this side, we will better understand the author’s mind and, consequently, we will understand the work itself.

“After an in-depth study of the work “Mensagem” by Fernando Pessoa, from 2 residences, a lot of understanding of what Mr. Fernando wanted to say with all this…because the “Message” is an astrology treatise and as I also discovered that one of the My goals on this planet are to wake up imprisoned souls, I have once again combined dance, theater and now astrological knowledge and puff. Magic. Here I wait for you”, says Filipa Rodrigues.
