Portugal is preparing for the return of Lianne La Havas. The English singer, guitarist and songwriter will give two concerts nationwide in July — the 15th at Lisboa ao Vivo, the 16th at Hard Club (Porto).

Lianne Charlotte Barnes was born in London into a family with Greek and Jamaican origins. Her career in music began just over a decade ago, when she was invited to join Warner Bros. Records to start preparing her projects. The connection to major continues to this day and the working relationship has already resulted in the artist publishing several works, such as EPs Lost & Found (2011) and Forget (2012) or the albums Is Your Love Big Enough? (2012) and Blood (2015).

Some of this first repertoire has already been performed live in our country during Lianne La Havas’ visits to Portugal in 2015 and 2018. To this day, there is no doubt that her voice is one of the most precious in new soul music and that This was clearly evident in what is his most recent and eponymous LP: Lianne La Havas (2020) was founded with the help of instrumentalists and/or producers such as Homer Steinweiss, Geordan Reid-Campbell, Nick Hakim or Mura Masa, it features tracks such as “Please Don’t Make Me Cry”, “Can’t Fight” or “ Paper Thin” and had “Seven Times” remixed by Wu-Lu the following year. This will be the material highlighted in the next visit to Lisbon and Porto by the artist who, in the last three years, has been more active as a guest in works by Kae Tempest, Nao, Alt-J or Shabaka.
