Viana do Castelo reveals tourist potential in Bilbao from May 10th to 12th

Viana do Castelo City Council will participate, from the 10th to the 12th of May, in the EXPOVACACIONES – Trends & Experiences Tourism Fair, in the city of Bilbao.

The 43rd edition of this event takes place at the Bilbao Exhibition Center and the municipality of Viana participates as part of the tourist promotion stand of the Regional Tourism Entity of Porto and North of Portugal, “intending to reinforce the dissemination of the municipality’s tourist potential, publicizing the offer and tourism sector agents operating in the territory”, the municipality said today.

The Tourism Fair – EXPOVACACIONES is a privileged promotional platform, especially in the communities of the Basque Country and Cantabria.

“The fair presents itself as a reference in tourism promotion at an Iberian level, aimed at a target audience that intends to plan their summer holidays, constituting a very important external tourist source of proximity, the affirmation of Viana do Castelo as a proximity tourist destination”, can also be read in the note sent today by Viana City Council.

Viana do Castelo “continues to register a strong recovery in the tourism sector, with the work carried out by the Municipal Tourism Network with local agents contributing to this result, which has allowed Viana do Castelo to be the 7th municipality in the North Region with the highest tourist demand and the third most welcoming city in the world in 2024, as chosen by the Booking platform”.
