Queima das Fitas de Coimbra (COQF) collected almost three tons of clothes for donation.
Under the responsibility of the Commissioner of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Nádia Sequeira, the Coimbra academic party organized a solidarity clothing collection campaign, on the 6th and 7th of May. The campaign, which aimed to support charities, included the participation of students, teachers and the community in general.
In the statement sent to the media, the organization clarifies that “the response was extremely positive, with countless people contributing items of clothing in good condition”.
The clothes collected will now be distributed by charities that support people in socially vulnerable situations.
Dj Guuga performs on the Main stage on the 28th
In another note sent, the biggest academic party in Coimbra announced that Dj Guuga will “command the night with hits that have rocked carnivals and dances since 2018, such as Helicóptero, Volta bebé”, on May 28th.
“To join the most varied musical styles that we have on the Queima das Fitas lineup, we now announce another international artist in the world of funk. The entertainment with DJ Guuga is guaranteed”, highlights the Organizing Committee of Queima das Fitas de Coimbra.
According to the statement sent, “the funk player gained notoriety by standing out in one of the genre’s aspects, arrocha funk, a style that combines the beats and elements of both rhythms. Its repertoire includes collaborations with relevant artists such as Wesley Safadão, Dennis DJ and MC Livinho”.
