Jornal de Leiria – FIABA returns to Batalha for five days of promoting gastronomy and crafts

Music, crafts and gastronomy already have a place at the next edition of FIABA, in the village of Batalha.

Between the 29th of May and the 2nd of June, “genuine crafts” and “typical gastronomy” are returning to the Santa Maria da Vitória Events Park, for the 32nd edition of FIABA – Feira de Artesanato e Gastronomia da Battle.

In a press release, the municipality states that the crafts show will feature “artisans from all over the country” and municipal producers, responsible for showing “the quality of Batalhense products”.

The musical lineup features names such as Rebeca, Tiago Borges and Gato Maltês, as well as Luchy Duckies, Rúben Palmeira & Banda and Augusto Canário.

The electronic tent will also have music late into the night, on the 29th, 31st of May and 1st of June.

Typical flavors will be served in the gastronomic tent, prepared by Batalhense associations that promote and publicize regional delicacies.

There will be no shortage of traditional music and performances by folk groups, with “moments of entertainment led by Escola B.ballet and the Hip Hop class at the Centro Recreativo da Golpilheira” expected, details the municipality.
