Iglo’s fifty years are being celebrated with the opening of a pop-up restaurant; all proceeds go to the Food Bank.

It is close to Parque Eduardo VII and the Lisbon Prison, next to a Chickinho and where I Want Food used to be: Cinquenta is a temporary restaurant that serves as Iglo to celebrate its half century of life.

The menu, created by chef Daniel Cardoso, includes, for example,
Salmon Ceviche with Peas, Corn and Pea Puree; Douradinhos Burger; Sea Bass Tacos; Quinoa and Falafel Salad; and Basil Pannacotta with Pea Ice Cream and Lime Cream.

Cinquenta also has options for children: Chicken Wraps with Nuggets or Doradinhos with Cheese Sauce and Salad with Iceberg Lettuce. Of course, all dishes are made with frozen Iglo products.

This restaurant, which has a small terrace, is open until May 27th and will also sell three fashion accessories with a print inspired by Captain Iglo: a t-shirt, a beach towel and a bag, with prices between 10 and 15 euros.

Iglo also says that all recipes from this restaurant (which is open for lunch and dinner – Fridays and Saturdays from 12 pm to 10 pm; and from Monday to Thursday, only from 12 pm to 3 pm) will be given to the Food Emergency Network, from Feed bank.
