On April 19th, the Intermunicipal Community of Central Alentejo (CIMAC), as the coordinating entity of the Central Alentejo Supraconcelhia Platform, promoted another meeting of this body, this time with the Municipality of Borba as host.

The agenda for this meeting included, among others, the Childhood Guarantee Plan. This document was presented by Dr. Sónia Almeida, national coordinator of this program. At this point, the pillars of the Action Plan to Prevent and Combat Child Poverty were presented, which are essentially based on four points:

 Pillar I: Employment, Qualification and Skills.

 Pillar II: Protection and Social Action.

 Pillar III: Access to Essential Services.

 Pillar IV: especially vulnerable children and young people.

After the presentation of the Child Guarantee Plan, there was a ceremony to sign the Collaboration Protocol between the Municipality of Borba and the National Child Guarantee Plan, with the formality of establishing the Local Child Guarantee Center (Núcleo Local Guarantee para a Infância (Núcleo Local Guarantee para a Infância) NLGPI).

Information was also provided by Social Security on cooperation and social responses, namely the Creche Feliz Program and PROCOOP, from the 5th Generation of the Local Social Development Contracts Program (CLDS – 5G). The Radar Social Program and the PRR and PARES programs and the CAVI Protocols (Support Centers for Independent Living) were also discussed.
