REGION – Esposende Chamber launches 451 thousand euros requalification work in Marinas

The Esposende City Council will move forward with the requalification of Rua da Redonda, in Marinhas, an intervention with a cost of around 451,500 euros and an expected execution period of six months.

In a statement, the municipality explains that this artery is the main connection route between the place of Cepães and the central nucleus of the city, so “the intervention is of the greatest importance, having been listed as a priority, both by the City Council and the Board of the Union of Parishes of Esposende, Marinhas and Gandra”.

The work includes standardizing the roadway and creating sidewalks, as well as requalifying the electrical, telephone and hydraulic infrastructures (water and sanitation networks).

“From a perspective of optimization, management and maintenance of hydraulic infrastructures, especially with regard to the installation of equipment to control and reduce losses in water distribution systems, it is planned to replace the water supply piping with an increase in gauge and installation of a Measurement and Control Zone; the deactivation of unused sections of the domestic wastewater drainage network; and the construction of a rainwater drainage network considering the planned urban rehabilitation. The Low Voltage and Public Lighting network will go from aerial to underground”, says the Esposense Chamber.

This intervention, carried out in partnership with the municipal company Esposende Ambiente, is part of the Investment Plan in Parishes of the Municipality, which “privileges the improvement of road conditions, the requalification of public space and intervention in infrastructures and buildings” .
