Weekend of showers and thunderstorms in the North and Center

The IPMA predicts that the rain will begin this afternoon and last at least until Sunday, in the North and Center of the country.

Summer weather will not continue into the weekend. At least not in the North and Center of the country, where showers and thunderstorms are expected. To the south, a “small drop” in maximum temperature is predicted.

Showers are more likely inland and in mountain areas, and may be accompanied by hail and thunderstorms.

On Saturday, showers are forecast in the North region, extending to the Center from the afternoon onwards. Just like the previous day, they can be strong and accompanied by hail and thunderstorms. A “small drop” in maximum temperature is also expected for these regions, especially on the coast.

To the south, the sky will be slightly cloudy or clear and the wind will be weak to moderate, increasing in intensity from the afternoon on on the west coast and highlands. A “small drop” in maximum temperature is also expected.

For Sunday, the IPMA predicts the continuation of showers, in the North and Center interior, and a “small drop” in temperature, on the coast of these regions.
