Counting down to Lisbon, images from the concert full of surprises in Paris, which marks Taylor Swift’s arrival in Europe

North American singer Taylor Swift took to the stage at La Défense Arena in Paris yesterday for the first of four nights of completely sold-out concerts. After a two-month break and the release of a new album, the singer is returning to Europe with “The Eras Tour”, one of the most successful tours ever. With a total of 46 songs, the singer and her band covered all of their biggest hits since 2006.

In a show lasting around three and a half hours, the 34-year-old singer surprised the 45,000 fans present with several changes to the setlist, order and wardrobe. But the biggest surprise of all was the addition of a new “era” to the show. Songs such as “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”, “Down Bad” and “Fortnight” from his new album “The Tortured Poets Department”, released on April 19, are now part of the concert’s setlist.

Before the singer took the stage, fans were also able to watch the pop-punk band Paramore, who performed the opening concert for all dates on the European tour.

“The Eras Tour” arrives in Lisbon on the 24th and 25th of May.
