Mufasa: The Lion King, a photorealistic production based on the classic Disney animation, has just received its first trailer. In it, you can see a little more of the story, which this time will focus on Simba’s father.

The film will tell the story of Mufasa and Scar, from when they were still little. Aaron Pierre It is Kelvin Harrison Jr. star as the brother and sister duo in the film. The story will be narrated by Rafiki (Kagiso Lediga), with comments by Timão (Billy Eichner) and Pumbaa (Seth Rogen) The direction is under the command of the Oscar winner Barry Jenkins.

In the film, Rafiki tells the story of Mufasa to little Kiara (Blue Ivy Carter)daughter of Simba (Donald Glover) and Nala (Beyoncé Knowles-Carter). The plot follows young Mufasa, an orphaned lion, who meets the young heir to a royal lineage, Taka.

The cast also brings Tiffany Boone like Sarabi, Preston Nyman like Zazu, Mads Mikkelsen like Kiros, Thandiwe Newton like Eshe, Lennie James like Obasi, Anika Noni Rose like Afia and Keith David like Masego.

Mufasa: The Lion King debut in December 19 this year.
