In an interview with ComicBook, Jacob Batalonwho is in the cast of the upcoming horror ‘The Tarot of Death‘, he commented on the future of his character Ned Leeds in MCU after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘.

It is worth remembering that, at the end of the film, Peter Parker’s identity (Tom Holland) was tragically erased from the memory of everyone who knew him, which makes it difficult for his character – the protagonist’s best friend – to return.

“I honestly don’t know [se retornarei em ‘Homem-Aranha 4’]. I don’t know what the future holds for any of those characters. I feel like if it’s meant to happen, it will happen. I hope it happens. I’m hopeful that will happen. It’s sad that [o Peter Parker] don’t have any more friends.”

Previously, Holland had confirmed that the fourth film is still in development: “We are discovering [o que fazer depois de ‘Sem Volta Para Casa’]. We are still in the post-strike phase, so we are waiting for the scripts to arrive. We’re giving the writers all the time they need to get to work. But I have a few other projects that I’m really excited about, and they’re great. I read something the other day that completely surprised me.”

Unfortunately, the star did not give any further details about the sequence, which should begin recording at the beginning of September this year.

Until now, the Sony Pictures did not hire any director to helm the sequel.

Among the various rumors, names like Justin Lin (‘Fast and Furious’) and Drew Goddard (‘The Secret of the Shack’) were tipped to oversee the new chapter of the superheroic saga – but, according to the World of Reel, Sam Raimi became the favorite to take on the project.

Information indicates that the acclaimed filmmaker, who recently directed ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, should receive an offer in the coming days, although nothing has been formally made official. It is worth remembering that Raimi is no stranger to the cosmos of “Cabeça de Teia”, considering that he directed the original trilogy starring Tobey Maguire.

In addition to Tone Holland in the main role, Zendaya is expected to reprise his role as MJ.

Don’t forget to watch:

The hero’s latest adventure, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘, collected US$1.9 billion worldwide – becoming the seventh highest-grossing film in cinema history.
