Incredible art features Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine killing all the X-Men in the same way as in the comics.

And last week we had the launch of the new trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine (watch). The new preview finally highlighted the star’s return Hugh Jackman to the beloved role of Wolverine.

One of the highlights of the new trailer, involving Wolverine, was the sober tone regarding the character, despite Deadpool be a comedy franchise. From what little we’ve seen, we will follow a traumatized and tortured version of Logan.

In the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine there are several references to the comic Old Logan, which follows the character in a dystopian future. For example, we see Ant-Man’s corpse in its giant version, something that is taken directly from this story.

And with the film being partly an adaptation of Old Loganin the comics Wolverine’s great trauma was that he killed all the X-Men in a manipulation by the villain Mysterio, who made the mutant see them as if they were enemies invading the X-Mansion.

With the bet that we will see something very similar in the film, illustrator Venomhology created incredible art imagining Hugh Jackman’s hero committing the same act. Check it out below:
