“Challengers” with Zendaya is now the most watched film in Portugal, surpassing the intense “Civil War”.

Now is the time to look at the weekly rankings available on the official website of the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (ICA) to understand which films most pleased the Portuguese public between the 4th and 10th of April and how this changed the Top of the most viewed.

This week, five premieres gained direct entry into this disputed Top 10, leaving behind the films: Dune – Dune: Part Two (11th), by Denis Villeneuve; A Singular Life (13th), by James Hawes; Inmaculada (14th), by Michael Mohan; The Three Musketeers: Milady (19th), by Martin Bourboulon and Cabrini, by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde.

With the May 1st holiday on Wednesday, the new highlights arrived early and the biggest news of the week, “Profession: Danger” showed its full potential by getting a place on this list after just one day of showing.

Still, the lead now belongs to “Challengers” with Zendaya occupying the podium that previously belonged to “Civil War”, the controversial film starring Kirsten Dunst. It will be interesting to see in the following weeks whether Zendaya and her boys will be able to stand up to Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt at their best.

With changes in position and a new leader, these were the most watched films in Portugal this week:


10. REVOLUTION (WITHOUT) BLOOD, BY RUI PEDRO SOUSA

Synopsis: Based on real events, “Revolucion (Without) Blood” follows the lives, dreams and concerns of four young people in the last days of the dictatorial regime.
