Paramount Pictures has revealed a new trailer for the highly anticipated prequel A Quiet Place: Day One, giving audiences a glimpse into the world before “quiet.” Set to premiere on June 28, the film hopes to transport viewers back to the harrowing days of the initial alien invasion, giving a new perspective on the events that led to the chilling “silence.”

Unlike its predecessor, A Quiet Place: Day One enters uncharted territory, exploring humanity’s desperate struggle against an unknown threat. In the absence of prior knowledge of the aliens’ sound-based method of hunting, the film’s characters face fear and confusion as they navigate a world on the brink of collapse. The trailer suggests a society plunged into chaos, where survival depends on the ability to adapt.

Although John Krasinski, the visionary behind the first A Quiet Place, takes a step back from the director’s chair, his influence is great on the prequel. As producer and contributor to the story, Krasinski ensures that the film remains true to the spirit of its predecessor. Directing is Michael Sarnoski, whose previous work on the acclaimed drama Pig earned him praise from critics and audiences.

A cast of familiar and new faces, led by Lupita Nyong’o. She is joined by Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff, each bringing their own unique energy to the film’s cast.
