The person who confirmed this was David Zaslav, the company’s executive director, in a meeting with investors this Thursday morning (9). The news was shared by Jason Schreier, a Bloomberg journalist, on his social network X:

In the Warner Bros. earnings call. Discovery this morning, CEO David Zaslav said the quarter’s financials were affected due to the “disappointing launch of Suicide Squad,” Rocksteady Studios’ newest game.

The company has not yet revealed how the title performed in sales and whether the size of this failure has to do with the number of players or something similar. What we know is: the title was heavily criticized for adopting the “game as a service” style and the community did not like some narrative decisions.
