Batman: Caped Crusader – Animated series gets first images and premiere date on Prime Video

The series was canceled by Max, but was rescued by Amazon’s streaming service and debuts in August

After being canceled by Maxthe animated series Batman: Caped Crusader got a new home in Prime Video and finally received its first official images, as released by EntertainmentWeekly this Thursday (9). The premiere date of the program was also announced, which will arrive on streaming Amazon in day August 1st.

Created by Bruce Timmthe name behind the iconic Batman: The Animated Seriesa cartoon that was a huge success in the 90s, Batman: Caped Crusader is set in the 1940s, and Bat comics published during that period were used as inspiration for the plot of the episodes.

In the images revealed by EW, it is possible to take a peek at the character designs, as well as the atmosphere of the new animation starring the vigilante. Among the highlights are the visuals of Batman himself, the Commissioner GordonHarley Quinn, Catwoman and Clayface.

Batman: Caped Crusader It is created and produced by Bruce Timm. Matt Reeves and JJ Abrams also serve as producers on the new vigilante animated series. Two seasons of the program have already been confirmed by the studio.

Batman: Caped Crusader arrives at Prime Video in August 1st.
