The special will take place in one of the arenas that are part of Cidade do Rock. With this, another stage and space is added to the festival in celebration of four decades.
The scenario is inspired by the concept of “Dream Factory”. Among the elements is the iconic 1985 sneaker and a wide typewriter-shaped staircase.
The show delves into the past, recalling the year 1984, when the idea of holding a giant international music festival in the city was seen as an unattainable dream. Roberto Medina, president of Rock World, the company that created, organizes and produces Rock in Rio and The Town
The production follows the story of writer Maria Antônia Lobo. She is played by actresses Bel Kutner, in 2024, and Malu Rodrigues, in 1984, and takes place at the signing night of her autobiographical book “Fábrica de Sonhos”, this year.
During the event, Maria reflects on her life journey. Especially in 1984, when she participated in the idea of holding an international rock festival in Rio.
