As expected, LaBrie cited the classic “Images And Words”, an album released in July 1992 that marks her debut with Dream Theater.

“‘Images And Words’ will always be my choice, because it established what Dream Theater really is. I think it’s a phenomenal album from start to finish (…). Grunge was the big thing, and then we released an album like ‘Images And Words’. People must have looked at us like we had two heads (…). That album really paved the way for the rest of our tour and created the longevity of who and what we are,” said LaBrie .

“Images And Words” is Dream Theater’s second studio album. Considered the quintet’s best record, the album in question features great songs, such as “Pull Me Under”, “Another Day” and “Metropolis – Part I: The Miracle And The Sleeper”.

The Dream Theater singer also spoke about another record by the band that he has been part of for over 30 years.

“I also really like ‘The Astonishing,’ which I know is a very controversial album. And the reason I say that is that for me personally, as a vocalist, it really allowed me to show all the facets of who and what I’m as a singer. So this album, although it polarized our fans – there’s no doubt about that – for me, as an artist, it was absolutely rewarding and satisfying”, added James, referring to the album that Dream Theater released in 2016.
