Anyone who likes to listen to rock music in Roraima can be grateful, because this Friday (22nd) there will be ‘Rock Day’, an event with lots of live music and performances by three bands.
The program starts at 8pm with a performance by the band Carta Na Manga, with a lot of national rock, followed by the band Gidora with a special Nu Metal and the band Máfia, with a lot of rock and heavy metal. The event takes place at Madah 17 – Show House, located at Avenida Nossa Senhora da Consolata, nº 2555, São Vicente neighborhood. Entrance is free for women until 11pm and the normal ticket is R$10. There is also a VIP option with pool and a bucket of beer starting at R$30.
According to Ronnald Dannyel, local businessman and responsible for Madah 17, the venue was created with the aim of promoting more live shows, especially rock in Boa Vista.
“The energy that rock brings is simply incredible, I want to spread that vibe here. It’s important because rock is more than a musical genre, it’s a lifestyle. We want to give fans a place to meet, enjoy great music and feel part of a tight-knit rock community,” she explained.

The idea is that ‘Rock Day’ will be the first of many events. The plan is to hold a rock festival in April and expand the promotion of other similar actions, with other activities, such as workshops with musicians, chats about the history of the style, a local product fair and more.
“We want Rock Day to be a complete experience, which celebrates not only music, but the entire rock culture. And this is just the beginning! We want to see Rock Day grow and become a well-known event throughout Brazil. Let’s show that Roraima has a lot of talent and energy to contribute to the country’s music scene”, he added.
