Madonna’s show at Copacabana Beach on May 4th will last 2 hoursand whoever wants to avoid the crowd you can hear the performance behind the stageas there will be sound towers on both sides of the stage.

The City of Rio de Janeiro and the government of RJ gave details, this Thursday (25), of the operational plan for the mega event. The public forecast has increased, and authorities hope 1.5 million people on the sands of Copacabana.

The structure is being assembled in front of Copacabana Palace, facing Leme. Organizers estimate that behind the stage and the service area will be less crowded.

There will be DJs playing from 7pm. At 8pm, DJ Diplo takes over. Madonna will take the stage at 9:45 pm. The show must end at 11:45 pm.

The PM mobilized 3.2 thousand soldiers for the day of the event. Just like New Year’s, there will be 18 magazine points at the beach accesses — not all streets will be open for passage. Bottles and glass containers and sharp objects will be retained.

The troop will operate with 12 facial recognition cameras, 64 vehicles and 4 drones. A control center will be set up in Praça do Lido.

The scheme will be very similar to the one adopted every year on New Year’s Eve.

• At the Saturday (4)the track next to the sand of Avenida Atlântica dawn closedas happens for leisure areas on Sundays and holidays.

• To the 7:30 p.m., The whole of Copacabana will be closed to traffic.

The other stations of the metro system will operate normally, from 5 am to midnight, and after the usual closing time, they will only be open for public disembarkation.

There are at least 200 people on the team, who will occupy 90 rooms at the Copacabana Palace hotel, one of the most luxurious in Rio.

At the hotel, 5 rooms are reserved for rehearsals.

The presentation features 80 tons of equipment that is transported in 3 cargo planes and 30 trucks.
