David Gilmour admits that Pink Floyd can return to the stage in hologram format, but only under “arduous and difficult conditions”

David Gilmour left the door open to Pink Floyd’s eventual return to the stage, in hologram format.

In an interview with “Uncut” magazine, the Pink Floyd guitarist revealed that he had watched “Voyage”, the new ABBA show, which is made precisely along these lines. However, he admitted he was not impressed.

“If you’re a big ABBA fan, you might appreciate it,” he said. “I thought their figures were ok, but they would never be able to convince me that it was real. The best moment was when the band played a song [‘Does Your Mother Know’] on its own.” “Voyage”, remember, features holograms of ABBA members and a band that plays the group’s songs live.

A possible similar show by Pink Floyd is not out of the question, but this is also a remote hypothesis. “If someone came forward with the money and a series of brilliant ideas, and only after we had agreed to a series of arduous and difficult conditions, I would say yes”, he guaranteed.

Last week, David Gilmour announced the release of a new solo album, “Luck and Strange”.
