Slipknot played an intimate show on the night of Thursday, April 25, at Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California – a popular tourist destination near Joshua Tree National Park in San Bernardino County. The show, which served as a warm-up for the band’s performance at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas, Nevada, this weekend, marked Slipknot’s first appearance with the group’s new drummer, former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande. .

For the show at Pappy + Harriet’s, Slipknot adopted a classic look, bringing back their 1999 red jumpsuits and elements of their old masks in their modern versions, tying in with the fact that Slipknot is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Vocalist Corey Taylor said on stage mid-performance: “Tonight it doesn’t matter where you come from, it doesn’t matter when you were born. This year is 19 and damn. We’re going to play some songs from before that year, but f*ck, everything It started in ’99 and it’s starting again here tonight.”

The mystery about who the new Slipknot drummer would be seems to be over and as many already imagined, Eloy Casagrande appears to be the new owner of the drumsticks in Slipknot.

After a quick and unexplained departure from Sepultura in February this year, Eloy Casagrande was seen as the music market’s biggest bet to be Slipknot’s new drummer.

Slipknot even posted some hints about the future drummer on social media, playing with fans’ imaginations. At the beginning of March, the band’s official profile posted a photo of a broken drumstick, and fans quickly recognized Eloy’s favorite model.
