Eloy Casagrande has attracted a lot of attention from fans of the Slipknot after his debut as the band’s drummer.
After having made his first performance alongside the legendary Metal group last Thursday (25) at the small bar Pappy & Harriet’s, the musician impressed many of the band’s admirers with his talent during his “official debut” at the Sick New festival World in Las Vegas, Nevada, last Saturday (27).
Although Slipknot has not announced the arrival of the Brazilian drummer, videos from the group’s recent shows show details that help to prove that their new member is, in fact, the former drummer of Andrew Matos, Glory It is Grave.
Eloy Casagrande is praised by foreign Slipknot fans
After the band’s performance at Sick New World, several foreign Slipknot fans used their social networks to praise Eloy Casagrande’s talent. Admired by the drummer’s potential, one internet user declared on his Twitter account:
My God!!! Eloy!!!! You saved Slipknot!!!!!
Another fan of the North American band remembered the former drummer Jay Weinbergwho was fired from the group in 2023, and also praised Eloy https://twitter.com/fadhilrmdhnnn/status/1784619010346393621:
Eloy is a beast!!!! What was that, it was a machine gun. I love Jay and I praised him, but this Eloy fit into the group very well. Precise, fast and brutal. I can’t wait to see the new album and its new songs.
The fit was really perfect, right? It is also worth remembering that the vocalist Corey Taylor told in an interview with TMDQA! last year that Sepultura was one of his biggest influences – and, precisely for this reason, it is not surprising that Eloy’s playing style is so good for the North American group.

With the series of praise from foreigners, Brazilian fans are taking the opportunity to take the internet by storm and reinforce, whenever possible, that Eloy Casagrande is from Brazil.
Admirers of the drummer and the band, in fact, have high expectations for the group’s shows at the second edition of the Knotfest Brasil festival, scheduled for October 19th and 20th at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo.
