This Tuesday (30), the day before the 30-year milestone since the death of Ayrton Senna, the greatest Brazilian driver in the history of motorsport, Netflix released the first teaser for the miniseries “Senna”. The fictional production will feature important characters in the story of the three-time Formula 1 champion, who died in an accident on May 1, 1994.
Some official images of the production cast which will retrace the trajectory of the patron of Brazilian sport have already been released via streaming, including images of Leone characterized as the character who gives the miniseries its name. The production will premiere on the platform in 2024, but with no set date.

Emblematic characters with whom Senna lived in the last year of his life are present in the production. Between them Adriane Galisteu (Julia Foti), Xuxa (Pâmela Tomé)Alain Prost (Matt Mella) and McLaren team principal Ron Dennis (Patrick Kennedy), as well as Galvão Bueno (Gabriel Louchard).
The story also features actors Alice Wegmann (Lilian, Ayrton’s first wife), Camila Márdila (Vivianne Senna, sister), Christian Malheiros (Maurinho, friend of the pilot), Hugo Bonemer (Nelson Piquet), Marco Ricca (Maurão, father of Ayrton), Nicolas Cruz (Leonardo, brother), Rodrigo Veloso (Flávio, brother-in-law) and Susana Ribeiro (Zaza, Ayrton’s mother).
Also part of the cast are Arnaud Viard (Jean-Marie Balestre), Patrick Kennedy (Ron Dennis), Joe Hurst (Keith Sutton), Johannes Heinrichs (Nikki Lauda), Keisuke Hoashi (Osamu Goto), Leon Ockenden (James Hunt), Richard Clothier (Peter Warr), Steven Mackintosh (Frank Williams) and Tom Mannion (Sid Watkins), among others. Anglo-Brazilian actress Kaya Scodelario was also cast (playing journalist Laura, a fictional character).

‘Senna’ plot
In six episodes, the plot begins with Senna moving to England to compete in Formula Ford. The Brazilian driver’s start in Formula 1, his third championship and other great achievements in the category will also be portrayed in the miniseries. The production culminates in the fatal accident in 1994, in Imola, during the San Marino Grand Prix, in Italy. Watch the teaser here!
