We were crying with excitement at seeing Taylor, and then she fell. The people pulled her out, we were right at the railing, and then I jumped over the railing and ran to their support post. They responded there, they started trying to revive her and I despaired, because I saw how serious it was. They called the ambulance and from what I understand she had another cardiac arrest there in the ambulance.“, reported a friend.

After the incident, the Consumer Police (Decon) opened an investigation to investigate the actions of the company responsible for the shows. There were changes to water entry policies at stadiums and performance times were adjusted. At the show following the tragedy, Taylor did not make any direct quotes or tributes to the fan who died.
