An influencer made the wait for singer Madonna’s performance on Copacabana beach, which takes place tomorrow, even more fun. Leonardo Silva went viral when he danced to a song – a ‘rock’, according to his opinion – that would be by the Queen of Pop. But no.

The post, viral on her TikTok account (which already has more than 650,000 views) and shared tirelessly on social media, is accompanied by the song “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”, which is not by Madonna, but by Cindy Lauper .

Leonardo often provokes the fandoms of great music divas on his social networks. In a previous post, he talked about another ‘high’ that he would like to hear at Mariah Carey’s performance at Rock in Rio: the hit “Un-Break My Heart”, which is actually a big hit for Toni Braxton.

Interestingly, Cindy Lauper performed in Brazil before the Queen of Pop. While the singer of “Good Enough” – who will be at the 40th anniversary edition of Rock in Rio – debuted on Brazilian stages in 1989, Madonna only sang here four years later , in 1993, on ‘The Girlie Show’ tour.

Even though they took different musical paths and proportions, Cindy and Madonna were initially confused by the less attentive, as they released their first albums in the same year, 1983, with great appeal among young audiences and Madonna’s tone, which today it is completely different and partly resembles that of its contemporary.

Leonardo’s ‘exchange’ ended up generating a healthy and hilarious dispute among internet users, who chose an unofficial setlist for the Copacabana beach show, which would feature unlikely songs such as “Voyage Voyage” (Desireless), “Gimme More” (Britney Spears ), “Poker Face” (Lady Gaga), “Drivers License” (Olivia Rodrigo), “Summertime Sadness” (Lana Del Rey), among others.
