Who followed the soap opera Surrogacy, which originally aired on TV Globo in 1990, is certainly reminiscent of Regina Restelli. The actress played the star Bete Nigri and became known as the Madonna Brazilian due to her physical resemblance to the Queen of Pop.

Successful on Globo in the 1980s and 1990s, Regina debuted on TV in TiTiTi (1985). She was also in the cast of A Gata Comeu (1985) and Bambolê (1987). Her role in Barriga de Aluguel, a nightclub dancer in Copacapana, earned her the fame of the Brazilian Madonna. Afterwards, she also starred in the play Perfume de Madonna.

Currently, however, she is away from the spotlight and is a holistic therapist. She became a reference in Ho’oponopono philosophy and meditation. “I lead a quiet, simple life, I hardly leave the house. I have a daughter in her early 30s, who is a psychologist and works in partnership with me, and I have been separated for over ten years. It’s really nice to be at this stage of life, having time for myself”, he told the newspaper Extra.

Sometimes I miss the creative moments that came from spending time with other artists. They were fun, delicious, full of laughter…. Today I’m very lonely, right? I live and attend alone, through online consultations”she said.

When asked about Madonna’s show, which takes place in Rio de Janeiro next Saturday (04), Regina guarantees that, if she is invited to a more reserved area on the Copacabana sands, she will be present. “Wow! I think I deserve to be there”, commented.
