Since the end of Britney Spears’ conservatorship in 2021, the singer’s emotional and mental state has become the darling of gossip sites and tabloids. After the chaos at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles last week, sources told In Touch that the “Princess of Pop” was in “danger” in her new relationship.
The singer has been dating Paul Richard Soliz for a few months, who was hired in 2022 to do some maintenance tasks at Britney’s mansion.
“It’s like 2008 all over again”declared an anonymous source to the website. “Now, she’s hanging out with this criminal and her friends fear history is repeating itself.” 2008 became known as the year of Britney’s “breakdown”, precisely the year in which her father Jamie Spears entered into a controversial conservatorship that lasted 13 years.
Paul has had some trouble with the law over the years because of robbery and illegal gun possession, but he was never convicted of violent crimes. He has also revealed that he has “a bunch” of children with his ex.
According to this source, one of the reasons for Britney’s divorce from model Sam Asghari was that Sam suspected the singer had cheated on him with Paul because she “openly flirted” with the employee.
“In fact, there was even talk of trying another guardianship”the source revealed about what the singer’s friends and family are thinking. “No one wants to see this go this far, especially because of all the publicity and backlash over the last one, but Britney really needs help.”
What happened to Britney Spears at Chateau Marmont?
It’s difficult to know what really happened, as the singer and the media have very different versions of the story.
It all started on May 2, when the tabloid TMZ published that the singer had had a huge fight with her boyfriend at the hotel in which she was “out of control, crying” and was almost “taken away by an ambulance”. In the published photos, Britney is leaving the place barefoot, wrapped in a blanket and with a pillow next to her security guards.
The Los Angeles Times confirmed that the singer sprained her ankle that day and did not go to the hospital, but was already “well and safe” at home. In an Instagram post, Britney said that the TMZ news was fake and that people had a hard time understanding that she was only getting stronger every day. She also said paramedics “illegally” showed up at her bedroom door and “caused a huge and unnecessary scene.”
