Shooting and explosion in Moscow leaves 14 dead. Russian agencies speak of “three camouflaged men” who “opened fire”

A shooting at the Crocus City Hall concert hall, in the suburbs of Moscow, left 14 people dead and countless injured this Friday, and there is currently a huge fire at the place.

RIA Novosti mentions that “three men in camouflage opened fire.” A person at the scene testified to the agency that the attackers used “automatic weapons” and that “there are definitely injuries.”

According to the same source, the attackers also “detonated a grenade or bomb at the site”, which sparked the fire.

In turn, TASS states that there are still people trapped on the roof of the building and there has been a partial collapse of the structure.

The RIA Novosti agency published videos of the site, which is located in the Krasnogorsky district, in the northwest of the Russian capital. According to the agency, the Russian band Picnic was performing in that room, but none of the group’s members were injured, and there are around 70 emergency services ambulances providing assistance at the scene.

In turn, the Russian online portal Mash published a video that allegedly shows the attackers in space.

Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin issued a statement, cited by Reuters, in which he stated that “a great tragedy has occurred” and sent his condolences to the families of those who died.
