Xiaomi has just added two smartphones to its end of support list. This means that both devices have reached their end of life in terms of software and security updates. In this case, we are talking about the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, which were a sales success.

These two smartphones were no longer receiving software updates. But this also eliminates the possibility of continuing to receive security updates. You must bear in mind that this end of support is valid for global versions of the equipment, as you can see on the official page.

Some users could, until now, have had some hope that these devices would receive the new HyperOS. But those hopes are dashed with this addition from Xiaomi to the ill-fated list of unsupported terminals.

Redmi Note 10 Pro was a respectable mid-ranger in 2021

The Redmi Note 10 Pro was one of the most interesting mid-range smartphones of its time. Although it was launched two years ago, its design doesn’t look dated at all and it already had an AMOLED screen.

It also arrived powered by the Snapdragon 732G processor, which was relevant in this segment for a long time. It also stood out for having stereo speakers and a 5020 mAh battery with 33 W charging.

It was originally launched with Android 11, but would end up being updated to Android 13 based on MIUI 14. If you have one of these devices and are concerned about its support, perhaps it’s time to think about changing your terminal.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro will not lose support for the applications you use on a daily basis. But without brand support, you may be more exposed to vulnerabilities.
