Snapdragon has a new CPU, the X Elite, which has already been tested on Geekbench 6 and achieved better performance than equivalents from Intel and AMD. X user @techinmul publishes on his profile the results table that shows that the X Elite achieved 2427 in the single-core test and 14254 in the multi-core variant, beating the Core i7 and Core i9 Raptor Lake and the AMD Ryzen 8000 -series, in mobile versions.
If in the single-core test, the difference is below 6% for rival chips, in the multi-core test it increases, to percentages above 18%.
O Tom’s Hardware highlights that it was already known that the X Elite was going to be incredibly fast, with 12 Oryon cores, 42 MB of cache and a peak turbo frequency of 4.3 GHz. Now, if this performance materializes in the real world, we will be looking at a truly powerful.
Qualcomm announces the best multi-thread performance in its segment with this chip and appears to be willing to compete directly with rivals, having already stated that this processor has a performance 60% better than the i7-13800H and twice the speed of the i7 -1355U and i7-1360P, while only needing a third of the power. This chip also promises 50% better multi-thread performance compared to Apple’s M2.
Although Geekbench 6 is recognized as a reliable industry test, it is not always the best indicator of real-world performance, so we will have to wait and see how the chip will perform in real-world conditions.
